The District owns and maintains approximately 7.0 acres of open space land situated throughout the Platte River Ranch neighborhood. In addition, the District is responsible for maintaining the City-owned landscaping bordering both sides of Bromley Lane. (The City owns the land between the street and the perimeter fence line on Bromley Lane but requires the District to maintain the landscaping and sidewalk on this "right-of-way" land.)

The District also owns and is responsible for maintaining four storm water detention areas (which collect the storm water runoff from the streets) - including the detention pond on the west side of Hummingbird Circle / Goldeneye Lane.
