District Owned/Maintained Fencing

The District owns and maintains various sections of fencing throughout the Platte River Ranch neighborhood.  Maintenance of these fence lines represents a significant financial investment and expense to the District.  The perimeter fencing owned by the District was replaced over 3 years beginning in 2013 at a total cost of $208,000.

Per the Platte River Ranch development/landscape plan on file with the City of Brighton and the District's Architectural Design Guidelines, all fence lines within Platte River Ranch must be 5-feet tall with the one exception of the perimeter fence lines running along both sides of Bromley lane that can be 6 feet tall.

Homeowners whose lots border District fence lines are responsible for maintaining landscaping, pets and other conditions on their lots in a manner that does not damage or otherwise accelerate the wear and tear of the District's fences. The District will bill the respective homeowners for any costs incurred by the District to repair owner-caused damages to the District's fence lines.

The Board's current fence policy can be accessed and downloaded from the District's document library.
